Chocolate orange martini

The flavour of oranges and chocolate almost always take me back to childhood eating Jaffas by the bagful. In case you’ve never had them, Jaffas are Australian candies that are a bit like round M&M’s but coated with crunchy orange flavoured candy.

The other day, a few packs of lunch-sized cartons of chocolate milk were accidentally delivered along with my other groceries. By the time I realized the mistake the delivery guy was already gone and I figured the they wouldn’t want to dispatch another guy to come pick them up.

I’m not much of a milk drinker, but tossing them seemed like a bit of a waste. Instead, I popped a few Lactaid’s and added a few ounces of Grand Marnier to make tasty chocolate orange martini. If for some reason you’re not a fan of the chocolate orange combo, it’s also delicious with vodka.

1/2 pint of cold chocolate milk
1 oz of Grand Marnier (or vodka) that’s been left in the freezer

Pour the chocolate milk into a chilled glass then add the Grand Marnier. Stir to combine and serve.

If you want to make it a little more potent, use 1oz of vodka and 1oz of grand marnier for every half pint of chocolate milk.
