in No Recipes

It’s been a great year filled with cooking adventures (and misadventures). I started this blog as a way to motivate myself to cook outside my comfort zone and to serve as a record of my successes and failures. It’s turned into much more than that though, I’ve made friends and I’ve even had the fortune of meeting a few bloggers in person.

This post was originally going to be about 10 of my favourite dishes from the past year, but that seemed a little too contrived, so I decided to let you be the judge. Below are the 10 most visited posts over the past year.

  1. North African Stewed Veggies
  2. 5 Salts From Around the World
  3. No Menus: An Underground Restaurant Affair
  4. Chinese Roast Pork (Siew Yuk)
  5. Asparagus Linguine with Mint Pesto
  6. Tacos Al Pastor
  7. Smokra
  8. Meyer Lemon Icebox Cake
  9. Nasu Dengaku (Grilled Eggplant with Sweet Miso Sauce)
  10. Killer Meatloaf

I’m currently traveling around Asia looking for new foods and new inspirations to share with you. This post was written and scheduled ahead of time. As such, I may take a while to respond to your comments and questions but I’ll get to them as soon as I return:-)

    • Interesting stuff here. Nice blog. And you are so generous to share the photography tips! You've got a new subscriber. I have the same cooking philosophy...to look at a recipe for inspiration...some times it's the technique, some times it's the ingredient list...and then off I go to 'do my own thing'.

Melissa, I love kimbap too. In korea there have little hole-in-the-wall places all over that sell them as snacks.
