Hi! Just found your blog -- my husband heard you on NPR and said I should check it out. I'm hooked, and will be following! Would love a chance at Tyler's book -- I always get hungry when I read his recipes. My favorite post (so far) is the firecracker scallops w/ linguine. Cheers!

I like the post on pandan wrapped roast pork. I took a cooking class while on my honeymoon in Thailand, and we made chicken fried in pandan leaves. It was delicious and beautiful. I've not cooked with or eaten anything using pandanus since, but your post reminded me of it and has inspired me to seek them out.

I think this is a great prize!
I chose the Kimchi Pork Belly pizza post because I love pizza with unusual toppings, like sweet potato or potato, and kimchi pork belly combines two of my favorite things. Planning to try it soon.

to be honest, i'm not really a fan of tf. his show and delivery gets under my skin and his frat-boy thing is getting a bit old. but i'm sure he can cook just well (even though, marc, i think you're prob. better and more creative than him -just sayin').

with that said, i'd still be open to checking out a cookbook by him to see if my annoyance can be reversed by a good meal.

as for your posts - my fave? that's tough. but i will say i really enjoyed the crab one and the tip on the seafood sellers under the bridge. everything you do is good, let's be honest. to pick one fave is hard!

If you're shopping at Citrella I'm assuming you live in NYC? If so you can get flounder roe in season at the fish monger in Union Square as well as the one in the Grand Central Market. Hope that helps.

My favorite post would have to be the first one I read: which is "Butter Fried Flounder Roe." Thanks to Googling flounder roe, I was brought me to your wonderful corner of the World Wide Web! I also love this post because it highlights the simple preparation of frying the roe in hot butter while incorporating marked details such as the use of smoked salt and a nutty cheese.

I've been hunting for flounder roe sold on its own. However, I do usually request a "lady flounder" from the fishmonger at Citarella and he does usually select one for me with a nice, full belly full of roe.

Marc, I enjoy all of your posts. You are Poised for Greatness! I guess if I had to choose a favorite, it would be the Conejo en Mole Rojo because I was drawn to the deep, rich color of the sauce. And the Uni post sticks in my mind, too. I so appreciate your willingness to improvise and to share your thought process with your Loyal Readers.

Much continued success to you; you certainly deserve it!
