Join co-hosts No Recipes and Sticky Gooey Creamy Chewy each month on a delicious journey though some of the most gastronomically inspirational films. Each month there will be a new movie to watch which will hopefully inspire you to cook something outside your usual repertoire. Watch it, run with an idea, then share it with all of us.

Here’s how it works:

  • Check the list above and visit next month’s event page.
  • Watch the movie.
  • Make something inspired by the movie. For example, if the movie were Monsoon Wedding, you might choose to make some Indian food whereas Babette’s Feast might inspire something Scandinavian.
  • On the 20th of each month, post your dish and send us your submission.
  • The host will post a roundup with a photo of your dish along with your description.

Your post:

  1. We encourage everyone to post on the 20th of the month (see table above for dates). However, if circumstances prevent you from posting on that day, feel free to post earlier.
  2. In your post, write a paragraph explaining how the movie inspired you to make this dish.
  3. Include the event banner below in your post. When the roundup goes up, please update your posts with a link to the roundup.

Send your submission to dm@norecipes.com on the 20th of the month and include the following info:

  • Your name:
  • Blog name (if applicable):
  • Name of dish:
  • URL of your post (if applicable):
  • One or two sentence description of the dish and how the movie inspired you to make it.
  • Attach a photo that’s no larger than 500 x 500.

Be creative, take some inspired photos but most importantly have fun!
